Echoing a similar story last year, Audi has once again managed to outsell its numbers from the previous year.
By selling a total of 120,420 vehicles this year, Audi has set a new U.S. sales record this year, a whole month earlier than last year. A year ago, Audi managed to sell 102,055 vehicles by this time, and 117,561 by the end of the year.
Still, Audi has a way to go to beat its german luxury rivals, who managed to sell more than 200,000 vehicles last year.
“Setting a record with five weeks to go in the year demonstrates how effectively our strategy is working in this market,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “Our steady sales performance in recent years began with significant investments in new models and technologies. But it is also the result of significant investments by dealers nationwide to enhance the Audi experience in their showrooms.”

It seems like Audi is really setting up shop in the bigger vehicles segment, as sales of the Audi A8, A7, A6 and Q7 have now grown from 19 percent three years ago to 32 percent.
